Civil Ceremony – Wedding Party Packages

St Augustine’s is licensed for the registration of marriage. You may choose to have your civil wedding in our Drawing Room, Oak Room, the fully air conditioned Ruby Room or our distinctive Gazebo. With a choice of three rooms or the Gazebo you can have from 20 to 220 guests. The choice of room is yours as the price stays the same.

The ceremony takes about 25 minutes wherein the Bride and Groom exchange their vows and sign the Register. The ceremony must contain no religious elements and is conducted by a registrar. It can only take place after 8am and must be finished by 6pm. Following the ceremony a celebration drink can be served in the lounge bar or outside on the patio.

Gazebo – Outdoor/Garden Wedding Party Packages

Most possibly the largest and we think definitely the best – our impressively designed gazebo comes complete with red carpet, built in marine speakers for your choice of music, a PA system to amplify your vows, spotlights to improve your photos, a web-cam facility (which enables guests that are unable to be with you on the day to join in and enjoy your wedding ceremony) and a power supply for musicians.

Unique to St Augustine’s

Alternatively, if you wish to have your ceremony in the Chapel you may have a blessing that fully replicates the traditional wedding service. However, at St Augustine’s the signing of the Register has to be completed in a licensed civil room which represents the legal marriage in the eyes of the state. This signing can be attended by your two witnesses and take place before your day or after the blessing.

Chapel Blessings – Wedding Party Packages

The magnificent French-style Chapel at St Augustine’s was built in the early 1900’s and contains 350-year-old carvings from Paris; not only creating an impressive setting for your blessing, but ensuring an unforgettable occasion.

In addition to the civil ceremony we are unique in that we have our own Chapel where you can have your wedding blessing even if this is not your first marriage. This service can inject a religious dimension into an otherwise secular occasion.

Many of our couples have decided to have their blessing to coincide with the arrival of the evening guests thus enhancing their attendance on the special day. Another benefit is that it satisfies the religious needs that the couple may have.

A blessing may include hymns or songs, with traditional or modern readings, prayers and music. These may have a singular significance for you and may make your blessing special for you. It may be adapted to meet your individual requirements.

Bride’s Room - Free Exclusive Use

Our specially designed Bride’s room with panoramic mirrors is available for your use all day where you can relax on our Chesterfield settees in privacy and comfort. This room is code-lockable and can be used to store all your presents and personal belongings: overnight storage may also be arranged.

Children’s Room

Keep the children amused by offering them a TV and DVD player and a selection of tabletop games. You may wish to supply your own games and activities, organise supervision or an entertainer on the day.

Exclusivity

Venue exclusive (you have the whole venue for the day) or one bride only (you are the only bride in the building on the day), can be requested.

Disabled & baby-changing facilities

All our facilities are on the ground floor with ramps throughout the building.

Parking

150 car parking spaces.

The Finishing Touches

Let St Augustines take the strain, deliver your place cards, favours and decorations from the Monday prior to your wedding and let our team set the scene by personalising your tables for you. No worries - enjoy the day. This service is free of charge.

Additional Services

Bar facilities are available from 11am until 1am by arrangement. Access for suppliers can be arranged from 10am, sometimes even a day or two before. Photographers and videographers are able to attend all day. Confetti may thrown anywhere on the premises. Cars may be left in the car-park overnight (at owners own risk).
